Mind It NOT

When I ask my mind to take some rest
I lay it down in its flawless cage.
I ask it not if it wants to try
the wings to fly for the tears to dry.
The morning rays won't shine on its face.
The moonlit night won't find its trace.
For it the wind is the spider's net
dipped in stickt liquid to wet.
Yet it smiles all the way
and makes me work throughout the day.
I work and work to stress it more
but it won't stop to perform its role.
I go back to bed and fall asleep
when it keeps exploring the thoughts so deep.
It takes me down the memory lane
and shows me all that I tried in vain.
It makes me all that I wanted to be
in the land of dreams, in the open sea.
Still I forget to take its care.
Yet it remembers the details we share.

  2. You have a real knack for poetry Punam. The best part is that each one of your works end with a sense of positivity and with a serene feeling of dreams coming true. Keep posting!
